Credit Score
A number lenders use to estimate how likely you are to repay.
A credit score is a three-digit number (usually 300–850) that summarizes your creditworthiness for lenders. The most common model, FICO, weighs payment history most heavily, followed by how much of your available credit you use. A higher score unlocks lower interest rates, which can save you tens of thousands over a lifetime of borrowing.
